Inspired by Langkawi’s eponymous Red-Backed Sea Eagle, Four Seasons Resort Langkawi’s exhilarating new helicopter services afford guests a thrilling bird’s eye arrival, departure and adventure experience via a luxury Bell GX407.
Commenting on the launch of the new transfers and tour service, the Resort’s General Manager, Andrew W. Harrison said, “Once I had experienced Langkawi from the air, I realised this was something we had to share with our guests. The aerial views of the islands, seastacks, mangroves and rainforest-clad mountains is simply breathtaking, and really complements the perspective of our naturalist-led ground and water eco tours." In keeping with its 48 acres of natural beauty, the Resort has created a natural landing pad on its Lily Pond, adjacent to its mile-long beach.
- Luxury Airport Transfers – The 12-minute transfer to and from the Resort’s heli-pad provides a breathtaking eagle’s eye view of the Langkawi UNESCO Geopark’s lush mountains and island-dotted seascapes.
- Full Langkawi Island Heli-Tour – Immerse yourself in Langkawi’s natural and cultural beauty on this scenic 45-minute flight. Marvel at the turquoise lake and vibrant hills of Dayang Bunting, the sandy beaches and yesteryear villages of Tuba Island and the relaxed streets of Langkawi’s main town, Kuah, before following the winding Kilim River to the glass-like waters of Datai Bay and the golden curl of Cenang Beach.
- Kilim River & Kuah Town Heli-Tour – Soar above the labyrinthine mangroves and rainforest-flanked lagoons of the picturesque Kilim River to the waterfront haven of Langkawi’s main town, Kuah, on this exhilarating 30-minute flight.
- Langkawi Heli-Sunset Flight – Little beats the thrill of a scarlet-hued sunset flight over Langkawi’s southern islands, from the stunning Dayang Bunting and Tuba Island to the wildlife sanctuary of Singar Besar. Then follow the golden skies back to the Resort, along the sandy expanse of Cenang Beach, the dramatic 27-acre Telaga Harbour, and the turquoise teardrop of Datai Bay. Departs daily at 6:15 pm for a scenic 60-minute flight.
The Bell GX407 Single Engine craft can accommodate up to 6 people including the pilot. There is no minimum age limit. The service is facilitated by Four Seasons Resort Langkawi and operated by SAS Helicopter. Subject to weather conditions.
