THE MONK SEAL FOUNDATION
Roughly 1,100 Hawaiian monk seals remain in the wild, and much of that population has migrated to the pristine and secluded waters of Lanai. In partnership with the Monk Seal Foundation, Four Seasons Resorts Lanai helps support the critically endangered species, hosting lectures and kid-friendly educational programs. Many Resort staff members also participate in efforts to protect the monk seal, working with biologists on location and tagging programs.
After learning about these gentle creatures, you can join the conservation efforts by participating in the Adopt-a-Monk Seal Hanai program and sponsoring a seal known to frequent Lanai’s waters. For a donation of USD 75, donors receive a personalized adoption certificate, seal biography and plush Hawaiian Monk Seal toy. Contact the concierge desk for more details.

Lanai Cat Sanctuary
Volunteer your time at this outdoor sanctuary where more than 575 cats eagerly await your visit. Help painting kitty condos, gardening, as well as snack and play time. All are available for adoption or sponsorship. Open daily including all holidays. 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
